I will be on the look out for it at the Weihnachtsmarkets.

I will also have to see about making my own Cheese cake, sweet version, to tame the cravings or going to Starbucks! Thanks for the tip, Jackie.

And don't even get me started on the pronunciation, Susan May. I showed this to a colleague at work and he asked me how I pronounced it and then just laughed and laughed. Oh the hours of entertainment I provide to these Swiss. :)Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00180575316534932721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-148784316266362795.post-87728905329179167422008-11-23T20:58:00.000+01:002008-11-23T20:58:00.000+01:00Hmm, well, today we went to a Starbucks in Lausann...Hmm, well, today we went to a Starbucks in Lausanne, seeing as we were freezing, couldn't find anything else open, and craving filter coffee, and they had all sorts of American sweets, including cheesecake! So if you're really needing cheesecake, you could try there.

Also, yes, we did get snow here in Lausanne! Some yesterday, more today, but not much stuck.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-148784316266362795.post-37545587941289318572008-11-22T06:46:00.000+01:002008-11-22T06:46:00.000+01:00hi there, you can also buy them in the freezer sec...hi there, you can also buy them in the freezer section at coop in a box to pop in the oven - quite delish and quick...sandaleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03731660910924289966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-148784316266362795.post-50597630671438829892008-11-21T18:17:00.000+01:002008-11-21T18:17:00.000+01:00I love this little things - the trouble is pronoun...I love this little things - the trouble is pronouncing it properly!Susan Mayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11499209136647853493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-148784316266362795.post-8735937667154221672008-11-21T13:24:00.000+01:002008-11-21T13:24:00.000+01:00If you want something more like cheesecake the way...If you want something more like cheesecake the way you mean it - i.e. a dessert (!) - look for something like "quark kuchen" (not sure about the german term) or "gateau au séré". General hint: if something says "cheese" it's probably salty ;)

I bet you were disappointed if you were expecting something sweet!M'dame Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09143879148704310727noreply@blogger.com
