Wanna learn Swiss German? Watch Bauer Ledig Sucht...

I really enjoy reality TV - you either do, or you don't.

That is probably the major reason why I like Bauer Ledig Sucht (roughly translated it is Farmer looking for singles!), but the other is that it is in Swiss German!

So while these Swiss Farmers are searching for the love of their lives, I am learning Swiss German - or at least attempting to. It is amazing how much you (can make yourself believe you can) understand when you pay attention.

Go ahead. Give it a go:

And if you want to watch an entire episode, tune in on Monday's (YES, TONIGHT!) at 19:15 on channel 3+ for Bauer Ledig Sucht.

Ps. Just to catch you up, they have all paired off now and they are trying out their new girlfriends on the farm... very interesting stuff. Some couldn't handle it - either the farm or the guys and have taken to the hills, while others are head over heels. Oh, gotta love reality TV!

Ew, we had that exact same show in Sweden a year or two ago under the name "Bonde söker fru" (Farmer seeks wife).

Huh... it just occurred to me that it could be a whole 'Farmer in the Dell' spin on things...

'The Farmer takes a wife... the farmer takes a wife...'

I only understood the word "oh shit". Lol. It sure does sounds diffrent from Germany german. I'll pay extra attention next time I see crew members from Swissair.

We have this show in Australia too. There must be lots of lonely farmers out there ...
