It is our first Swiss National Holiday tomorrow in Switzerland, like the US Independence Day on the 4th of July.
My bro is still in town so I think we will try to chase down some fireworks, either from the Zurisee or from Uetliberg. Lord help me now... I the crowds will be manageable.
What are your plans? Any other suggestions for us for a great 1st of August?!

We are going to a friends hosue for a barbeque. Wish we could see fireworks, Marion wouldn't stay up that late.
Check out Park Im Gruene. They have a band starting at 7:15 I think, with fireworks after. Great view, bus stop right in front. I'm guessing you'll have to get there early to get a spot on the grass (bring a blanket to sit on- although if you get there early enough you might get chairs). There is a Migros restaurant there and they were setting up stands (food and beer I think) for the event tomorrow night.
